Health and Safety Policy Statement


At Appleton Painting Ltd our policy is to provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions, equipment and systems of work for all our employees, and to provide such information, training and supervision as they need for this purpose.

We also accept our responsibility for health and safety of other people who may be affected by our activities.

To fulfil our Health and Safety Policy Appleton Painting Ltd will:-

  • Provide adequate control of the health and safety risks arising from our work activities;
  • Consult with our employees on matters affecting their health and safety;
  • Provide information, instruction and supervision for employees;
  • Ensure all employees are competent to do their tasks, and to give them adequate training;
  • Prevent accidents and cases of work-related ill health; and
  • Maintain safe and healthy working conditions.

The allocation of duties for safety matters and the particular arrangements which we have made to implement the policy are set out within our health and safety manual.

The policy will be maintained, particularly as the business changes in nature and size. To ensure this, the policy and the way in which it has operated will be reviewed every year.

Established in 1986 Appleton Painting Ltd are experts in painting and decorating providing services to the public, commercial and domestic markets.

At Appleton Painting Ltd we recognise that our business processes do impact on the environment. To manage and reduce this impact we have established this policy and are committed to continually improve our environmental performance through the following measures:

  • Comply with the relevant environmental legislation and industry codes of practice that affect the running of our business.
  • Seek to reduce environmental impact and prevent pollution in the delivery of our products and services.
  • Take account of concerns of interested parties such as regulators, customers, employees and the public.
  • Set objectives and targets to drive continual improvement programmes and regularly review environmental performance to ensure success.
  • Ensure that all employees are aware of this policy and trained in their environmental responsibilities.
  • Make this policy available to our customers and the public on demand.
  • This policy shall be reviewed annually to ensure its continuing effectiveness.
